Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Details
Last week, Infinity Ward and Activision announced that a new map pack called the "Stimulus Package" for Modern Warfare 2 would be released on March 30.
The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package will be exclusive to Xbox Live on release and will cost 1200 Microsoft Points ($15). The length of exclusivity was not mentioned. Five maps are going to be included: three brand new and two from Modern Warfare that have been "slightly reworked" according to Infinity Ward.
The new maps are called Bailout, Storm, and Salvage. Bailout takes place in a modern-day, burned-out apartment complex. Storm is a weathered industrial park littered with heavy machinery. Salvage is a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars.
The two maps that make a return from Modern Warfare are Crash and Overgrown. Infinity Ward didn't make any major geography changes to the maps.
Here is a video with some really bad watermarks, better watch while you can.

Modern Warfare 2 first DLC pack coming this Spring!
Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 will be officially receiving its first infusion of post-launch DLC content this Spring. As Microsoft is keen to point out in its press release announcing the release window, the content will only be available (at least initially) on the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, no other information is given on the first DLC pack (though the energy drink case you see above seems to indicate that it'll be maps), but the announcement does note that this is but the first in a series of "content packs" that will be exclusive to Microsoft's console.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 BETA
This games has given me a break from all the rampant hacking and akimbo shotgunning that is Modern Warfare 2. That being said, I should point out that Battlefield is not like MW2 and should not be compared.
The classic Battlefield 1942 beta test, that I also took place in was a lot more fun than this. Currently the beta map is a oil refinery, with objectives inside a small base that are to be destroyed or defended. Attacking teams para-shoot on a hilltop with two tanks and some ATVs to aid the assault. They really immerse you into the map, it's also very hard to see with all the wind blowing snow around. This and the more realistic weapons physics add to the more challenging and realistic environment you are in. This environment can also be completely destroyed by heavy weapon emplacements, tanks, rpgs, or even a shit ton of small weapons fire.
Great detail and function were put into the vehicles, but lack in areas like small weapons. There is an achievement system similar to most modern online games, unlocking new weapons and perks along the way up the ranks. You will find this title has all of the bells and whistles of a modern online war game.
Bad company 2, has a lot of potential. I feel like it will be a lot more successful than similar games like Quake Wars: Enemy Territory. A very cool battlefield style game that really never took off. With EA and an existing franchise name backing it, i'm sure it will.
Sorry about the screens, they were taken with my G1. EA has screen captures on lock.

Aliens vs. Predator XBOX 360 PS3, AND PC.
One of science fiction's most popular characters are coming back on February 16th, to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Single-player campaign and seven multiplayer modes.
A multilayer demo will be released tomorrow, February 5th
Sega confirmed that the demo will give gamers access to all three species -- Colonial Marines, Predators, and Aliens -- and allow them to battle it out in deathmatch mode on Refinery, one of the game's multiplayer maps.
"With the demo, gamers can get to know each of the three iconic species so they can hone their skills and be ready for when the game launches and battle commences," said Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion, the game's developer.
This new installment delivers three outstanding single player campaigns and provides untold hours of unique 3-way multiplayer gaming.
Experience distinctly new and thrilling first person gameplay as you survive, hunt and prey in the deadly jungles and swamps surrounding the damned colony of Freya's Prospect.
Developed at Rebellion by the team responsible for the original 1999 PC classic, the all-new Aliens vs. Predator allows players to take the role of three infamous species: Colonial Marines, Predators and Aliens. Each race will also have its own distinct action-packed single-player campaign mode, with a storyline that cleverly interweaves with the other two species' paths.

Wii gets Netflix
The Nintendo Wii is getting Netflix's streaming service, which is already available on competing game consoles.
Streaming from the online move-rental service will go live on Nintendo's console this spring, according to a joint announcement. As with the competing consoles, the service will be available at no additional cost for Netflix subscribers with unlimited plans, which start at $8.99 per month.
Like with the Sony PlayStation 3, which added Netflix streaming last fall, Nintendo Wii owners will need a free, instant-streaming disc from Netflix to access content. Using the disc may be annoying to some people since they must pop it into their Wii drive to access Netflix's stream.
Microsoft's Xbox 360, the first console to get Netflix, requires no extra disc. However, Microsoft does require an Xbox Live gold membership, which costs $50 a year, to access the Netflix service.

G1 Gets Eclair Update in 2010
It has been confirmed that T-Mobile is releasing an Eclair update for the T-Mobile G1. The update will be at least Android 2.0 but more likely Android 2.0.1 as both versions have already been prepared as OTA updates. Both the Android 2.0 and the Android 2.0.1 are in
OTA update for Eclair 2.0 or 2.01. Earlier this year, the community stated that the first gen phone would not be getting anything past Donut 1.6 because the G1 could not handle 2.0. The problem with the phone is that the system partition is only about 70MB, which is 99% used up with 1.5 and 1.6. The modding community has some experimental releases out now for the G1 and other early devices, but will soon have native G1 Eclair source code.

Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Unlocks
I know a lot of you legit gamers out there might be near or at level 70 with out using exploits or hacks. You are the ones the prestige system was created for. To help make up your mind, I took the liberty of digging up information about how it works and what you get.
When you prestige you get the following:
-Extra Class Slot
-Ability to receive new emblems/new titles
-Each challenge section has new challenges
-Brand new challenge section
If you enable prestige mode, you will lose all of your weapons and perks and essentially work your way back up through the levels. The advantage to prestige mode is it demonstrates to other players how far you have come as you earn prestige icons/emblems.
If you are sure you want to enter prestige mode, select yes to both prompts that appear (the second one reminds you there is no turning back).
After accepting, you are now in prestige mode and can work your way back up to level 70.
Once the player enters Prestige Mode for the first time in Modern Warfare 2, they will be rewarded with a sixth custom class slot. The same occurs at every odd prestige level, so a total of five additional custom class slots can be unlocked by Prestige Level 9. In addition, the in-game Intel hint system states that any earned titles and emblems obtained before entering Prestige Mode are not lost.
If a player enters Prestige Mode in Modern Warfare 2, all unlocked weapons, killstreaks, perks and challenges will be reset. The challenges unlocked through Prestige for each gun, however, persist to the next Prestige level (the kills and headshots for each gun's Mastery and Veteran challenges do not reset). This exception also applies to the challenges in the Prestige category that deal with killstreaks (getting a certain number of kills with a specific killstreak reward). Titles, emblems, and accolades are also unaffected.
